Behind on the update (Cindy wrote this)

Well, things are going well for us. We've recently painted our condo and re-carpeted so things are slowly coming together as we prepare for our new arrival. My brother Sam is making us some book shelves that will make a huge difference in helping us have a livable home. Now it's time to start doing research on baby cribs and stuff like that, then shopping for it all. If anyone has anything they recommend or absolutely hated, or didn't need, please let me know any info you have. There are just so many options for everything. Anything you have learned during or after pregnancy, labor, whatever it is, I wouldn't mind hearing it.

Anyway, as far as baby updates, I'm way behind on that. We had our big ultrasound april 4th and it was so cool! What an exciting experience for both of us. It was great for Chris especially since he hadn't been able to feel the baby move yet or anything like that. Chris has the ultrasound on his blog so you can check that out if you would like. We had been debating since day one whether or not we wanted to know if it was a boy or a girl, but the further along we got, the more and more I wanted to know, especially since I was already having such a hard time thinking of names. Good thing we found out too, 'cause it's a boy and I was really struggling with boy names. If we hadn't found out I probably would have just had my girls names chosen, and been awfully surprised when I needed to name a boy. We would have had a "Boy named Sue" incident on our hands.

So, yay for babies, and for us, baby boys. We're very excited, but now it seems like such a long time to have to wait for him.

So Chris has been able to feel the baby kicking a lot now which he loves and I am so excited about. I love that he is able to be a part of it. Our baby is moving a lot more now and is getting stronger everyday. Sometimes he really catches me off guard with his strength.
Sleeping isn't as easy anymore. Chris has learned not to touch me at all once I'm asleep 'cause I tend to be not nice while I'm sleeping. I think now he just does it for fun to see what I'll say, and how much he can get away with before I completely wake up. Then he likes telling me about it all in the morning.

Other than just feeling more and more pregnant everyday, things are going well. I just got a raise at work and Chris is almost done with this semester.

Don't forget to give me any advice at all!!!!

Oh my goodness, I am so excited for you. Thanks for the comment too, you are too sweet! Yes I remember "Mr. Sun!" I think you should post a side view picture so all of us anxious girls can see your adorable growing baby! My advise would be to shop around alot before you buy a crib, they are way expensive and you want to get one you LOVE! Also, I wished I would have had a changing table. Good luck and much love!

I forgot, I loved the book "secrets of the baby whisperer" by Tracy Hogg. It was so good! So what boys names are you thinking about?

That's so cool! Little boys are so much fun! I have a suggestion on a sleeping pad for your baby, it works wonders for everyone who has used it. But I'm not sure what it's called and my friend is barrowing it so I'll have to get back to you on that one. Congratulations!!!

Aww a little boy! That is just too exciting! The only advice I have for you is, less is MORE! With Hannah, I would get on these kicks where I HAD to have the latest toy, whatever you wanna call them, and I would end up selling them in two months, thus losing money. For example, the Bumbo seat. It supposedly helps your baby learn how to sit up in it, Hannah HATED it, and I spent 45 dollars on Ebay for it as they werent in stores at the time, and turned around and sold it for 25. Ugh, ill be so much more aware of what we DONT need with the next baby. It was hard being as it was my first and everything is so new and exciting. As for cribs and things go, my only suggestion, unless you WANT to spend pay full price for something like that, is to hit up craigslist. Craigslist.org for buying baby things, well, its just the ONLY way I shop now. Seriously, people sell REALLY nice things on there for CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP and ive seen REALLY nice baby beds for less than 100 dollars. Sometimes you can even get the crib mattress thrown into the deal along with it, which saves you yet another 40-100 dollars on top of that. So, buy used, thats my big advice for the night. Have you guys thought of names yet??? Wow, a boy. I just dont know what to do with a little boy hahaha...I want a boy so bad though, with the next one that is. I NEED a mama's boy! Hannah is DEFINITELY a daddy's girl!

Congratulations!! I was scared to have a boy but now I love it! Boys are so cute and so sweet! I wish we saw you guys more often its been a long time. Some things I've learned is that I wish I would have gotten a dresser with changing table on top instead of a seperate changing table and dresser. Its doesn't take up as much room an some are way cute! Also I got a cheap baby swing with Madie and she hated it with Gavin I got a really good one and he's in it all the time! Also if you get to choose which hospital to deliver at I loved orem community it was awesome everyone was so nice and since its smaller then most hospitals you seem to get more attention. I have tons of advice and things I would do different stuff to buy etc. But I'm sure you get enough advice in these next couple months you'll get sick of it! Hope everythings going well!!

1. You can never have enough onesies.
2. Congrats on the boy!
3. Swaddle your baby long after you bring him home from the hospital. It will calm him down every time.
4. Get a rocking chair. You'll use it a lot.
Love,
Sarah
